StoryUP: 360 Video With a Social Purpose

StoryUP combines immersive 360/VR experiences with a social purpose. Their 360 videos give a voice to people who otherwise might have none. No1LeftBehind is a 360 video (and charitable effort) that immerses us in a Veterans Homeless Camp in the woods. The “Honor Everywhere” program lets American World War II veterans with limited mobility visit war memorials in Virtual Reality.

Sarah Hill is the chief storyteller and CEO of StoryUP. She stitches and edits the 360 video footage herself for the majority of their stories. We are proud to be part of StoryUP productions – Sarah uses SkyBox Studio in their 360/VR production pipeline.

Honor Everywhere 360

Honor Everywhere 360 is a Virtual Reality tour for Veterans not able to physically travel to see their memorials. Using special cameras that shoot 360 degree, 3D video, Veterans are able to experience different sights from their bedside, wheelchair or assisted living center. Using Google Cardboard, they can look right, left, up, down and feel like they’re actually there. Tell a Veteran honoreverywhere360.com .

Honor Everywhere 360: Behind the Scenes

StoryUP has two separate studios, a Journalism studio and a brand studio. They are a group of journalists and digital creatives with a social purpose. They use technology as a tool to educate, combat loneliness, foster compassion, healing, and happiness.
