Mantra VR | Meridian Waves Tutorial

The Meridian Waves effect from Mantra VR simulates sinusoidal waves across the lines of longitude (meridians) on the 360 spherical footage. There are plenty of ways to modify the parameters of this effect to create impressive visuals inside a 360 composition, like a Liquid Chrome effect a Distortion effects.

Access the Meridian Waves on Effects > Mettle > Mantra VR Meridian Waves.

Adjusting the wave amplitude can create a Liquid Chrome Effect.

Adjusting the Wavelength creates a distortion effect.

The azimuth and altitude decay parameters determine where the effect will appear on the footage.

Applying multiple instances of Meridian Waves creates a Thick Glass effect. Adjusting the latitude on those instances can create a tech-like effect.

The displacement parameter affects the distortions inside of the waves.
