How to Create a Stylized Overcapture Video | After Effects CC 2018 | Mantra VR

Charles Yeager (yeagerfilm.com) shows how to create an Overcapture-style video in Adobe After Effects CC 2018 with an extreme wide angle POV for 16:9 final format. He takes it further with Mantra VR, which lets you create stylized Little Planets and Wormholes in 360° and 16:9 format.

How to Create an Overcapture Video with 360° Footage | After Effects CC 2018 | Mantra VR 

Ensure Mercury GPU is set in Project Settings

Create a comp with 360° Footage

Open the VR Comp Editor and create a 2D Edit

Rotate POV Camera with Null Controller

Smooth keyframes using the Graph Editor

Apply Motion Blur with CC Force Motion Blur

Apply Mantra VR Mobius Rotate to original comp.

See Tiny-Planet results in Edit Comp

Adjust POC Camera Zoom if needed

Combine multiple Mantra VR Effects

Render-Out the Edit Comp.
